TAHIR is an award winning internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian. He has a huge collection of credits and has concepted, co-created and starred in 2 sit-coms – “StreetSmart” and “Here Come The Habibs”.
He is also a Logie winning actor, having starred in “Fat Pizza”, “Swift and Shift Couriers” and “Housos”, as well as 3 feature films.
TAHIR is simply one of the Australia’s finest stand-up comedians. Known for his hugely popular live performances, which have spanned over 2 decades, he is a multi-talented and dynamic live performer.
TAHIR started his professional life as an English Drama teacher before finding his true calling when he first trod the boards of the Sydney Comedy Store in 1995. Within twelve months he had won the highly coveted Sydney Comedian of the Year award, and has since been featuring in comedy venues and festivals all over the globe.
With a broadly appealing and charmingly observational style, TAHIR embodies what it is to be an Australian. Of Turkish decent, his comedy celebrates the idiosyncratic quirks of living in a multicultural society, as well as the commonalities that bond us all together.
Over the course of his career, TAHIR has written, directed and starred in some of the most successful live stage productions ever produced. The shows have all played to huge numbers as well as rave reviews.
TAHIR has numerous television credits, as a performer, actor and guest, on shows such as “Rove Live”, “The Footy Show”, “All Saints”, “Thank God You are Here”and“The Librarians”, as well as countless comedy specials, panel shows, comedy galas and television specials.
TAHIR has starred in legendary Australian sit-coms“Fat Pizza”, “Swift and Shift Couriers”and “Housos”. He played the character of “Habib”, one of the most hilarious and popular characters ever seen on Australian television. He co-wrote the screenplay for the Fat Pizza movie, which enjoyed one of the all-time most successful opening weekends ever for an Australian movie release. He has featured in 3 Australian feature films, and was also part of the team that travelled the world and broke the world record pizza delivery, as recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records. Eight countries, fifty thousand kilometres, a world record and at the same time raising money for charity.
TAHIR also came up with the concept for “Here Come The Habibs” on channel 9. He then became a co-creator and an actor in “Here Come The Habibs”- a show that caused much controversy and debate, enjoyed great ratings, was Logie nominated in Australia as well as nominated for prestigious awards overseas.
TAHIR then came up with the concept, co-created, wrote two episodes and played the lead role in another family sit-com called “StreetSmart” for network 10.

Steve Philp – MC
Watching Steve Philp perform is like watching an episode of 80’s TV show “ It’s A Knockout” except he assures us no-one will get hurt!! Actor, Comedian and Former Radio Announcer Steve has adapted to most things his parole officer has given him.
Starting out on an acting career Steve starred in kid’s stage show’s such as “ Barney the Dinosaur” and “ Blinky Bill” as well as working with The Wiggles on “ The Dorothy the Dinosaur show” and quickly found kids to be on his level of intelligence.
Steve then moved into Stand-Up Comedy and made the finals of Competitions such as Triple J Raw and Green Faces and then quickly moved on the road touring the country for the last 8 years with Comedians such as Carl Barron, The Umbilical Brothers, Adam Hills and a number of international acts such as Arj Barker and Tom Green. This immense touring enabled Steve to work in sold out venue’s such as The Sydney Opera House and The Enmore theatre. During this time Steve moved into radio co-writing and co-hosting an ACRA award nominated Saturday morning Breakfast show “ Kennedy and Philp” on Nova 969 (Sydney) for 5 years which allowed Steve to interview and work with stars such as Jack Black, Ron Moss, as well as filling in for Merrick And Rosso on weekday breakfast for 5 weeks over the Christmas period. Steve also became active as an MC and has hosted the afternoon session of Tropfest for the past 5 years.
More recently Steve has been revving up and humouring TV studio audiences as the warm up guy for TV Show’s such as CH 10’s Ready Steady Cook, CH 7’s Battle of The Choirs , CH 10’s hit “So you think you can Dance” and Ch 9’s NRL Footy Show. But Steve’s big break came in 2008 when he was selected as one of 14 Australian comedians to travel to Miami and compete in NBC’s top rating show “Last comic Standing” in which he made the Quarter finals and got to perform to a sold out Miami improv and an American TV audience of well over 2 million. This has led to Steve appearing on Australian TV this year with a comedy spot on Ch 9’s NRL Footy show which has led to him becoming a semi regular appearing on numerous Footy show sketches.
Steve also appeared on SBS’s new Sports quiz show The Squiz as a panelist and more recently appeared on The Best of The Footy Show Comedians DVD Vol 2. Steve also has been seen in several TV commercials of late including a national Pizza hut campaign and Castrol.
The Sun Herald describes Steve as “ a natural” and seems like not too long before he’s got someone warming up his own TV show audience.
Stephanie Broadbridge is a regular host and headliner at all the Sydney comedy clubs having performed alongside Ronny Chieng, Jimeoin, and Dave Hughes. She has performed at Splendour in the Grass as well as Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festivals and the Sydney Fringe Festival.
Stephanie was a Raw National Finalist in 2019 and her first solo show ‘Female Musical Comedian’ was nominated and short listed for ‘Best Comedy’ at Sydney Fringe Festival.
