The Show

Darren Sanders – Headliner

DARREN SANDERS has been performing stand-up comedy for over 30 years. More recently he has been working on cruise ships in The USA, Asia, New Zealand and South Pacific entertaining nationalities from all over the world. He also opened for the legendary Temptations on their Australian tour in 2017.

‘The Darren Sanders Show’ aired nationally on free to air and cable in both Australia and New Zealand between 2012-2017 on the Nine Networks GO Channel and Foxtel.

As an actor Darren has appeared in Underbelly 3 and the feature film by Working Dog ‘Any Questions for Ben’ where he has the honor of having the last line in the film and can be spotted in the film ‘Shooting Goldman’ as the Comedy Club host. He also appeared in the drama ‘A Place To Call Home’.
Darren teamed up with fellow comedians Garry Who and Mick Meredith to form ‘Grumpy Old Comedians’ in recording a podcast series, 4 TV episodes and perform live shows.​Back in 2006, The Dazz and Gazz Radio Show on TV beamed out in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
In 2009 Darren Sanders & Garry Who joined forces again to produce the program ‘Talking Comics with Dazz and Gazz’ which took out Best Comedy Program at the 2009 Antenna Awards in Melbourne.​
He has performed stand up comedy live on TV shows In Melbourne Tonight, Rove Live, The Russell Gilbert Show and Stand Up Australia. Darren has also been part of the panel on Studio 10 and The B-Team.

David Smiedt – MC

David Smiedt has been delighting audiences around the country and overseas with his brand of warm inclusive comedy for over 12 years and is now one of Australia’s finest comedians and MC. David is a regular on television shows such as Mornings with Kerri-Ann Sunrise, The Today Show, Ready Steady Cook and having appeared on Stand Up Australia he is also the author of six humorous books.

He also is a writer for a wide range of magazines including Elle, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Body & Soul and Vogue where he specialises in a humorous take on style health trends and celebrity profiles. Aside from being the current grooming editor for GQ magazine he is the only journalist in Australian publishing history to be in concurrent issues of lads-mag Ralph and Your Garden.

David opened for Joan Rivers during her Sydney theatre run Mark Watson’s Sydney festival season and Martin Short’s Melbourne Crown Casino performances.

Stephanie Broadbridge – Feature Act

Stephanie Broadbridge is a regular host and headliner at all the Sydney comedy clubs having performed alongside Ronny Chieng, Jimeoin, and Dave Hughes. She has performed at Splendour in the Grass as well as Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festivals and the Sydney Fringe Festival.

Stephanie was a Raw National Finalist in 2019 and her first solo show ‘Female Musical Comedian’ was nominated and short listed for ‘Best Comedy’ at Sydney Fringe Festival.
